Topic: Security:
How much is enough?
An expert panel has been selected to
discuss the tenants of Security: confidentiality, integrity, and availability. With the recent events like the Wikileaks
scandal, natural disasters all over Australia and the Stuxnet virus, we think
it’s time to see how much security is enough. Legislation and Compliance
requirements are continually being updated, but the question of effectiveness
remains. At Virtual.Offis, we have seen more customers requesting high
availability options. Has this been taken for granted in the past?
The panel will discuss pertinent
topics including:
The recent hacking of Lush
Cosmetics, a virus at Ambulance Service
of NSW, security and your legal right to data in the cloud, Disaster Recovery
plans, and IPv6 Security
issues, followed by an open Q &A.
Our panel includes:
Patrick Gray is an Australian journalist best known as the host of the Risky Business security podcast. He's been reporting on IT security issues for 10 years, with his articles appearing in The Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, Wired News, ZDNet, CNet, SecurityFocus and curiously, Australian Men's Style Magazine.

intellectual property partner at Truman Hoyle. Mark is regularly invited to speak
at industry events in Australia and internationally about the legal challenges
for cloud computing.
